Outside 02:02
Early one morning I awoke to a tapping at my window. It was a tree waving in the wind, and it seemed to say, “Hello,” and “You’ve got nowhere to be, but I think you should go. There are people out there that you can meet. They’re out there on the street, and you can take them out to eat, And you can talk to them all Cuz they can talk all day Because they know what they think and they thought you should know.” Oh if I go outside, Will you just run away and hide? Please don’t run and hide. I think I want to go outside. My eyes are my windows and I’m looking out, But can you see me inside? Please don’t run and hide.

Fresh Air 02:14
I think I’d like to lay down in the grass I think I’d like to pass out in the flowers The fields that I’m from I think I’d like to take a little nap In a bed inside a palace Right before I drink out of a chalice And I think I’d like to hear that song The one where they sing about the way it went wrong That time I tried to kiss you In the moonlight In the bar I’d like to have a really fast car I would drive it really far I would drive across the ocean And hope that it would float like a boat I’d drive my car to Japan And I would speak Japanese in their land And we would all get along And I’d probably call you on the phone To tell you that I know that I can never come home But please remember I still love you In the sunshine Where you are I hear the sound of trumpets when I’m hearing the wind blow It’s raining gold doubloons just outside of my window There’s so much to do and there’s so much to see We could play a game or we could play another game We could go explore a cave or go through old stuff in the attic Whatever you want to do is just alright with me I think I’d like to go to the South Pole Even though I know it’s cold I’d like to go and write my name in the snow I bet they got a lot of neat stuff there Cause there’s neat stuff everywhere I bet that we could have a really good time Spending all our time waiting in line Waiting in line for just a little more time I know that we could live forever If we want to I know that we could do whatever we want It will be just like in the movies In the meantime All the time

I’m confused I thought that we were supposed to get along But every time I try it goes all wrong Now I’m locked inside a birdcage in the zoo And I’ve got my eye on you And you’re spinning in a circle with your arms around your head Playing ping-pong with a panda bear And trying really hard to win the race I’ve got gold! (He’s got gold!) I keep my gold locked up inside a safe (It’s in a safe) I keep it there so I know that it’s safe (It’s really safe) I don’t use it, but it’s sure a lot of gold (What a lot of gold) And I’ll give my gold to you So that you can buy a joyful meal, a jump-rope and a baseball glove And finally build the robot That brings you grape juice when you want a drink Good afternoon (Hello) I’d like to introduce you to the staff (Meet the staff) They don’t work and they won’t let you laugh (It’s no joke) Their clothes will all change colors really soon (This town’s a zoo) And that’s why they stare at you Because you’ve got a lot of things to do Like painting walls with power tools And spending all your money On everything you’ve wanted in you life

Sounds of the hungry ghost; My own voice trailing down your hall. I try to turn and run like hell, But there's something in the way. I can't wake and I cannot sleep. Dreams run wild down empty streets. Lights flicker in and out of time. I'm in, and out of time. To believe I'm a part of you; A morphine drip in my own sick ward, A shadow on an empty wall, A kiss caught in the wind.

the Rally 03:48
We are the light at the end of the tunnel We have to fight like there’s no tomorrow We’ll hit them in their homes And they’ll never see us coming We are the keepers of the future We make right what’s been broken We’ll hit them in their homes We’ll hang them from their hair They’ll never see us coming They’ll hear the knock on the door Wondering what it was for And they’ll never see us coming They’re making empty promises They’re making threats They’re running short on time Their nuclear disease Their never-ending greed They crossed the line They treat us like their slaves They think that they’re ordained by god They infiltrate our homes Inject their poison in our bones They kill the light Let’s cut them open And eat their hearts They’re the ones that started the fight Let’s put their backs against the wall Let’s string them up for fucking with our world For fucking with our world For fucking with it

Asleep at the wheel Driving my tired body home There’s nobody else on the road tonight And that’s good because I’m completely disregarding All of the lights Asleep at my job Yes sir, right away sir, excellent choice Right this way I can have that for you, yes sir Right away Alone in my house The tick of the clock echoes through the halls of my empty house As I sit and I wait for death To take me away

I took the easy road to just whore myself out, but please don't have any doubt It's demanding. And if you you want the world you will do what you're told, and you are bought as you're sold with no returning. And from the penthouse place to the cracks in cement, you'll never know what it meant from where you're standing. There's no understanding. But if love is where we're all going, there's no need for knowing-- there's no road that won't take take you there. And love, it seems like some magic. But even all the tragic circumstance, just a step in the dance of the world. Hey little fish, why you worry when nothing's wrong? Hey little honey, take the money and run along. Ten thousand years have passed, and nothing has changed; a little rearranged, but not so completely strange to us at all.

Pretty Crazy 05:23
Pretty flowers are all in bloom, and crazy lights all in my room. And I don't know if I want to go, Where I know I must go. And that's on my mind. But when it's time for me to go where I know I must go, It's just time. It's just lazy bones all in my tomb. While pretty flowers are all in boom.

about

“Step on Olympia’s Glass Elevator and you will be shot straight back into the depths of the musical revolution of the 1960s. The four-piece ensemble create a nostalgic, yet fresh sound on this album that mirrors the musical greats of four decades ago on their 2010 album “Psychic Battleship.” “Psychic Battleship” covers a wide range of styles going from upbeat, catchy pop sounds to slowed-down, extended psychedelia... The music is all original, while obviously inspired by the music that the band’s parents probably listened to. Technically talented, Glass Elevator creates inspired, multi-faceted compositions and are able to create a variety of moods. Going from manic highs to spaced-out lows, “Psychic Battleship” could be a soundtrack for a short trip on hallucinogens. ”
